How We Pick Games for the SIIIC Lobby
Anyone can embed ten thousand games and call it a portal. We would rather ship a hundred good ones. Every title in the SIIIC lobby passes a simple, slightly stubborn checklist before it earns a card on the wall.
The curation checklist
- First-load under eight seconds on a mid-range phone over 4G.
- Playable with one thumb — every control must work on touch, not just mouse.
- Starts playing within one screen tap; no fifteen-step intro sequence.
- Respectful monetisation: cosmetic ads at most, never pay-to-continue walls mid-round.
- Legible UI at small sizes, with palettes that survive colorblind viewing.
The human pass
After the technical checks, somebody on the team actually plays each game start to finish. We look for the “one more round” reflex — that little hesitation before you close the tab. If nobody hesitates, the game does not ship.
The result is a lobby that stays small enough to browse and good enough to trust. We retire games that age badly and add new candidates every month, so the grid you see today is always our current best answer to “what is worth playing right now?”
